MY SKILLS AND CAREER CONDENSED

Electronic Engineer and Firmware Developer with 17 years of hands-on experience in Embedded Systems design and manufacturing. All my skills and activities are driven by my "hacker lifestyle", lateral thinking and my insatiable curiosity and "professional DIY" approach. My passion for information and data security has shaped my career to always look for the more robust, safe and reliable solution possible - that normally means "simple".

I'm experienced in designing systems based on 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers like 8051, ST6, ST7, AVR, STM8, STM32, ARM7 TDMI-S, PSoC-3 -4 -5LP, and ARM9 and Cortex-A based application processors for industrial applications and consumer market.
I write firmware in ANS and C language for microcontrollers and embedded systems, as well as Python scripts for testing and debug applications.
Normally I work with iterative routines and super loops, but I am also experienced in FreeRTOS, µCLinux and appplication-specific RTOS usage.

I've designed with Lattice, Atmel and Xilinx CPLD and Xilinx Spartan-3/6 and Virtex-5 FPGAs. Lately I've used Lattice iCE-40 FPGAs and Silego GreenPAK mixed-signal devices. Silego has appointed me as one of their Certified Design Partners.
I program those devices in Verilog but I can also read and modify VHDL.

I have a good experience in multilayer PCB layout, high-speed bus data integrity and EMC issues. Lately I got skills in HDI, FlexPCB, Rigid-Flex and Chip-On-Board design, including Chip-Scale Packages, wire-bonding and FlipChip technologies.

I have a notable knowledge of serial buses, like I2C, SPI, I2S, USB and Ethernet, good experience in TCP/IP stack and design and diagnostics of ISO/OSI layers 1 to 4 - WiFi networks Layers 2-4 and Bluetooth/BLE as well as RFID and NFC technologies. Lately I started testing LoRa, LoRaWAN and SigFox sub-GHz networks.

Over the years I got skilled in Project Management, Product Management, team work and team leading, focusing on lean devalopment flow, just-in-time solutions and last minute problem solving - acting as a fire extinguisher countless times.

I have a good knowledge of semiconductors industry, worldwide EMS partners management, parts procurement and cost reduction as well as a wide network of contacts that can be quickly leveraged to obtain solutions in a short time.
